Mexico cruise ports of call
Mexico cruise
Travel to Mexico and get a little Spanish flavor. Enjoy the gorgeous views on the horizon, the calming ocean breezes and warm tropical weather, while stopping at each port.
Stop off at the popular Cabo San Lucas, whose location is surrounded by deserts on one side and turquoise waters on another. Boasting an 18 mile coastline, it connects San Jose del Cabo, giving you two seaside cities in one. There are activities such as scuba diving with whale sharks, fishing for whopper marlin and yellowfin tuna or kayaking past the famous El Arco rock arch. You can also get an adventurous joy ride driving ATVs through the desert to the Candelaria oasis.
Get a colorful experience on the port city Costa Maya, on the southern end of Mexico. From silver dolphins and yellow angelfish, these are some of the colors you will see in the clear blue waters. Inland you can visit the blue Lake of Seven Colours or the white stone pyramids of the ancient Mayans.
Becoming more and more popular is the city of Ensenada. Once a favorite for celebrities, Ensenada is now gaining attention for its culinary offerings. Dine on fresh oysters and seafood dishes while sipping rich red wine.
For a bit of colonial charm, visit cities like Mazatlan and Progreso. There are villages such as Copala and Concordia in Mazatlan, with ornate churches and old Spanish mansions, or Merida in Progreso, which has ruins of Uxmal as well as some of the region’s best handmade goodies on sale.
